1. Who We Are
TradeLog is an AI-powered trade journal app that helps traders identify behavioral patterns in their trading through voice notes and AI analysis. We are operated by an independent developer based in India.
2. What Data We Collect
Account data
- Email address and name (via Google Sign-In)
- Profile information from your Google account
Trading data
- Voice note audio recordings you create in the app
- Text transcriptions of your voice notes (generated by Whisper AI)
- Trade emotions and tags you select manually
- AI-generated insights and pattern reports
Usage data
- Number of trades logged
- App usage frequency
- Device type and operating system
- Crash logs and error reports
Payment data
- Subscription status (managed by RevenueCat)
- We never store your card details — all payments handled by Google Play
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data only to:
- Transcribe your voice notes via OpenAI Whisper
- Generate AI behavioral insights via OpenAI GPT-4o mini
- Identify your recurring trading patterns
- Send you push notifications for trade logging reminders
- Process your subscription via RevenueCat
- Improve app stability via crash reporting
We never use your data for advertising.
We never sell your data to third parties.
4. Third Parties We Share Data With
OpenAI — Voice transcription and AI insights — Audio recordings, transcriptions
Firebase (Google) — Database, authentication, storage — All app data
RevenueCat — Subscription management — Purchase history
PostHog — Analytics — Anonymous usage events
Sentry — Crash reporting — Error logs, device info
Important: Audio sent to OpenAI for transcription is processed and immediately deleted. OpenAI does not store your audio or use it to train their models under our API agreement.
5. Data Storage and Security
- All data is stored in Google Firebase servers
- Data is encrypted in transit using TLS
- Data is encrypted at rest by Firebase
- Audio files are stored in Firebase Storage under your unique user ID
- Only you can access your own data
6. Data Retention
- Your data is retained as long as your account is active
- If you delete your account, all your data is permanently deleted within 30 days
- Audio recordings are deleted from Firebase Storage immediately after transcription is complete
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Delete: request permanent deletion of your account and all data
- Export: download your trade history as CSV
- Correct: update your profile information at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email us or use the Delete Account option in app Settings.
8. Children's Privacy
TradeLog is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it immediately.
9. Push Notifications
We send push notifications to remind you to log your trades. You can disable these at any time in your device Settings → Notifications → TradeLog.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via a push notification or in-app alert. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.

12. Governing Law
