We collect the following information when you use ReflectAI:

Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo.

Voice Recordings: When you record journal entries, your audio is temporarily processed to generate text transcriptions. Audio files are not permanently stored on our servers.

Journal Entries: Your transcribed journal entries, mood selections, and AI insights are stored securely in Firebase.

Usage Data: We collect basic app usage information such as features used and session duration to improve the app.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Provide and improve the ReflectAI service. Generate AI powered insights from your journal entries. Send you reminders and notifications you have enabled. Maintain your streak and mood history. Process your subscription through RevenueCat.

3. Third Party Services

ReflectAI uses the following third party services:

Google Firebase — for authentication and data storage. OpenAI Whisper — for voice transcription. OpenAI GPT — for AI insight generation. RevenueCat — for subscription management. Google Sign In — for user authentication.

Each service has its own privacy policy governing their use of your data.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your journal entries and personal data are stored securely using Google Firebase with industry standard encryption. We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings screen in the app.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access your personal data. You have the right to delete your account and data. You have the right to export your journal entries. You can disable notifications at any time from Settings.

7. Children's Privacy

ReflectAI is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Voice Data

Your voice recordings are sent to OpenAI Whisper API for transcription only. Audio files are processed in real time and are not stored permanently on our servers or shared with any third parties.

9. AI Generated Content

AI insights are generated using OpenAI GPT based on your journal entries. These insights are for personal reflection only and do not constitute medical or psychological advice.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the Effective Date at the top of this page.
